My main stream research is the study of the properties and physical conditions of molecular clouds in the LMC and SMC, and its relation to massive star formation.

Mónica Rubio
Full Professor, Astronomy Department Universidad de Chile (1988, untill now), and Director of the CONICYT Astronomy Program (2007- today)
Professor Rubio has participated as “Visiting Astronomer and professor in several foreign institutions “, such: Institute d´Astrophysique Spatial, Observatoire de Paris -Meudon & Ecole Normale Superieure France ; Max Planck Institute for RadioAstronomy, , and Universities such: Harvard, Yale, Berkeley and Columbia.
